martyna: Matt's and my inline-skates (rollers)

I really need to get back into some sports. I still need to buy an item if I want to start running (again) and try the couch to 5k. (Running, especially in town, isn't my preferred activity anyway.) I have put out my swimsuit a week ago for some morning when waking up "early"* to go the pool and check if during the holidays there are less people, because normally it is impossibly crowded. I still haven't found karate classes.
Many people seem to tell me about yoga and different work out programs, but I'm just hesitant if it's a good idea to do such stretching without supervision. (Meaning, I'm talented to bump and hurt myself everywhere, I don't need to have extra pain for not correctly doing exercises, right?)
Generally, not knowing about how my timetable will look until next summer, not even knowing what I will study and how... I don't want take classes that require me to plan them in well, because I won't get my money back anyway if I can't assist them.
We wanted to go to one of the roller skating events last Sunday, but it didn't work out.

I need exercise. I need to move, to get rid of too much energy and to feel (physically) alive. I also need to get a grip on my body, feeling less uncoordinated.
I can't count on M. since his work schedule is a bit... annoying right now and I'm not a late-night-active person anyway and when it comes to running we don't even have the same rhythm. Working in a group usually is a motivation, but...

Any ideas? Motivating... somethings?

*as in getting up with M.

I started exercising again a few weeks ago, too. Running on Wednesday and Sunday, swimming on Friday. That's the only type of "schedule" I bother with - anything more complicated and I know myself, I'd lose interest and motivation.

As for motivation - I found that reading [community profile] runners actually helps with that. Lots of nice people who do the C25k or who alternate between running and swimming, too. And who give great advice or answer questions about lots of running-related things.

Oh, I'm not doing C25k, either. Keeping track of the intervals and keeping to the schedule of the program is not for me. I still find it motivating to read about people talking about being happy with their progress and things like that.
