Dreamwdith Paid Account

Surprise this morning: I have one month of Paid Account! Thank you to whoever gave it to me.
Maybe it was just a random assignment, but I do feel touched and will check out all the nifty features.
(Not having a credit card... isn't fun in such situations as the other options require being in the US as far as I've understood.)
This was especially good news after the horrible night and the information that our flight is cancelled.

Hi! I wasn't the person who gave you the paid account, but I just wanted to let you know that if it was random, it'll say so in the email you got about it. If it doesn't say anything about it being random, then it wasn't. :)

It says "Someone has chosen to upgrade your Dreamwidth Studios account.", so the person stayed anonymous. Thus I cannot say if the person has chosen me randomly or for a reason. That does make me curious! But then again, maybe it's better if I do not know. ;)

Tut mir leid zu hören, dass ihr doch nicht fliegen konntet :(
In Deutschland haben ein paar Fluggesellschaften (unter anderem Lufthansa) sich ja jetzt eine "Sondergenehmigung" geholt und fliegen mit bis zu 50 Fliegern nun doch auf "Sichtflug", d.h. sie fliegen besonders tief, um damit angeblich unter der Aschewolke zu bleiben.
Die Piloten sind allerdings nicht begeistert, weil Sichtflüge (zumindest bei Lufthansa) verboten seien und sie wegen dem Aschestaub Angst haben:

Hier wurde zum Teil gesagt, dass das ja gar nicht ginge, aber ab morgen werden bestimmte Flüge wieder autorisiert. Allerdings sind das momentan vor allem Flüge innerhalb Frankreichs (aus Paris wohl nur gen Süden)... ersteinmal. Es sei denn bis morgen früh wechselt was. Ausserdem sollen jedes Mal die Motoren etc überprüft werden, wegen der Sicherheitsfrage.
