Three weeks for Dreamwidth
14. Did you have a gateway fandom? Still in it? Why or why not? Is there a community for it on DW?
I guess the fandom that brought me to the internets and role-playing is Elfquest. There's a sporadically active community,
elfquest, but I'm not really active in the fandom any longer. I lost touch with it and in a way grew out of it. The fandom that brought me to fanfiction and further into fandomness -and a fandom that I'm still quite fond of, though not really active anymore in, too- is Harry Potter. There are at least a dozen of related communities on dreamwidth. Basically the more recent volumes of the series have diminished my enthusiasm. I also do not take the time to look around for nice fics, despite wanting to read some from time to time.
Way earlier I had other fandoms. As an avid reader, books inspired me. With a friend we cosplayed some of Karl May's characters, made up stories, chatted about the universe and and and. (Winnetou and Old Shatterhand. ♥)
