I dont know which force works stronger in you.. the urge to help or to do an internship, but I am glad you wont be able to because it dangerous and i dont want you anywhere near it!!!!!!
This, so much. Your wish to help is admirable, but you should stay in Europe. There are professionals who can help better than anyone without corresponding training can do. And in areas without any organisation it is impossible to help out of one's own initiative, especially as a foreigner.
I guess the only (and the best) thing we can do is to donate all we can afford.
