Recently I've been thinking about getting a real hobby. I've dabbled with many things, most of the time not going anywhere. Fanfiction writing? Have been there, have done that. Photography? The same. But it never goes beyond the first approach. I lack the capacity of staying with and pursuing something. Of putting work into something that I do enjoy. I usually quit when it gets even slightly difficult, even if I do enjoy it. Maybe what I need is not a new
hobby, but just a change in my approach of many of my past-times. I do not do anything else than Japanese and reading, do I? The point is I usually quit feeling that I am not creative enough.
When it comes to games or TV series (or films, too) - usually my attention span is just too short to make it a passion.
I'd really like to get a level in something that is high enough for me to enjoy doing it and to enjoy the result. So the question is - why can't I focus? Is there no dedication?

You're an intellectual and you know how you use your mind, so you'd rather not take breaks from it. You can always think out a situation and know what needs to be done. The only thing that frustrates you is not being valued.
